About Labels & Certificates

Many new labels and certificates have emerged in recent years to inform customers and consumers of healthy, safe and sustainable products facts. Such labels and certificates are a confirmation of good practices, suitable product designs and a sustainable background. Many of our products meet such label and certificate (third party or self-assessment) and we're happy to use them.

Third-Party Labels

COSMOS: an increasing part of our cosmetic ingredient portfolio is covered by the COSMOS label, showing that we use natural resources responsibly and with respect for the environment.

NATRUE: this label supports the identification of truly natural, renewable and sustainable ingredients for cosmetics products.

Halal: in addition to our Leaping Bunny and Vegan self-assessments, official halal certifications for our entire cosmetic ingredient portfolio help us achieve our animal welfare goals.

Self-Assessment Labels

These labels help our customers ensure their environmental advertising claims are grounded in thorough analyses. We conduct self-assessments on critical sustainability issues resulting in well-founded statements and transparency.

ISO 16128: covers our goal to achieve high Natural Content (NC) and Natural Origin Content (NOC) values within our cosmetic ingredient portfolio. By adhering to the ISO 16128 standards, we are increasingly using renewable resources and incorporate the Green Chemistry principles into our processes. This creates transparency for our customers regarding the natural origin of our cosmetic raw materials.

Animal Welfare: our Leaping Bunny and Vegan Self-Assessments of our cosmetic ingredient portfolio support us in achieving our animal welfare goals and none of our sales-ready products are actively tested on animals.

OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT: ensures that textile and leather products treated or finished with our verified raw materials are not harmful to human health or the environment.

Additionally, our Vegan Self-Assessment transparently addresses the use of animal-derived raw materials, allowing us to exclude such usage.
