Supporting Our Suppliers

Legal guidelines are increasingly forcing transparency in global and local supply chains. But when demanding more information, data and security from our own scope-3 suppliers, we realize we are scope-3 suppliers for our customers as well. We´re all in it together, all part of in one supply chain.

We have put processes in place to ensure selecting the right suppliers, then help them operate more sustainable and provide us with the required information and data. So we can even better help our own customers down the supply chain.

To qualify as a Surface Solutions supplier, companies need to go through our registered qualification process, provide us information about their practices, all to ensure they fully comply with our ESG guidelines.

We support existing Surface Solutions suppliers with our practical corporate decarbonization program. As members of Together for Sustainability (TfS) we support suppliers also with the SiGreen software which helps with calculating CO2e product data.

When purchasing directly from the source, like natural mica in India or natural cosmetic ingredients in Brazil, we get even more involved, with internal and external audit programs of mines and processors, with workplace standards audits and by visiting mines and plantations ourselves, inviting customers along for the visit. As an industry leader, we surpass RMI standards and have added additional safeguards - surpassing the minimum standards and requirements.
